Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to charge a Citroën at home?

The spot price changes every 15 minutes and the night-time network fee is lower than the daytime one. The calculator prices every 15 minutes of charging at the final price of that time and finds the cheapest continuous slot before the charging window ends.

Example: an ë-C4 54 kWh (2023–2024) uses 6.2 kWh from the battery for a 40 km drive. With a 12% charging loss, charging takes 6.9 kWh from the meter. Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes 34 kWh from the meter, or four and a half hours at 7.4 kW. 7.4 kW, though, needs a 32 A single-phase supply — from a regular 3×16 A wallbox a single-phase ë-C4 gets 3.7 kW and the same charge takes over nine hours.

Citroën electric cars charge from a single phase at 7.4 kW as standard, with three-phase 11 kW as an option.

Battery and consumption data for the models come from EV Database.

What time is it cheapest to charge a Citroën electric car at home?

It depends on the day, because the spot price changes every 15 minutes. The calculator shows today’s and tomorrow’s cheapest time from the published prices. At night the Võrk 2 and Võrk 4 network packages have a lower network fee.

Does my Citroën charge at 7.4 kW or 11 kW?

The standard charger on the ë-C3, ë-C4, ë-C4 X, ë-Berlingo and ë-SpaceTourer is single-phase 7.4 kW; a three-phase 11 kW charger was an option. If you are not sure, choose the 7.4 kW variant.

Does the price include the network fee?

Yes. The price is the final price: spot price, seller’s margin, network fee, electricity excise, renewable energy fee and VAT. You can choose your own package and contract in “My settings”.
