Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to charge a Dacia at home?

The spot price changes every 15 minutes and the night-time network fee is lower than the daytime one. The calculator prices every 15 minutes of charging at the final price of that time and finds the cheapest continuous slot before the charging window ends.

Example: a Spring uses 6 kWh from the battery for a 40 km drive. With a 12% charging loss, charging takes 7 kWh from the meter. Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes 17 kWh from the meter, or two and a half hours with a 6.6 kW charger. 6.6 kW, though, needs a 32 A single-phase supply — from a regular 3×16 A wallbox the Spring gets 3.7 kW and the same charge takes four and a half hours.

The Spring charges from a single phase at 6.6 kW. The Spring 80 can have 11 kW with an optional pack, which needs a 3×16 A wallbox.

Battery and consumption data for the models come from EV Database.

What time is it cheapest to charge a Dacia electric car at home?

It depends on the day, because the spot price changes every 15 minutes. The calculator shows today’s and tomorrow’s cheapest time from the published prices. At night the Võrk 2 and Võrk 4 network packages have a lower network fee.

Why does the Spring not charge faster from a wallbox?

The Spring charges from a single phase at 6.6 kW, which needs a 32 A single-phase supply. A regular 3×16 A wallbox gives one phase 16 A, or 3.7 kW. The 2026 Spring 80 can have 11 kW from three phases with an optional pack.

Does a 22 kW wallbox make charging faster?

The Spring charges from a single phase at up to 6.6 kW: it gets 3.7 kW from a 3×16 A wallbox and 6.6 kW from a 22 kW (3×32 A) one. The Spring 80 with the optional pack charges from three phases at up to 11 kW, so a 22 kW wallbox adds no speed for it.

Does the price include the network fee?

Yes. The price is the final price: spot price, seller’s margin, network fee, electricity excise, renewable energy fee and VAT. You can choose your own package and contract in “My settings”.
