Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to charge a Ford at home?

The spot price changes every 15 minutes and the night-time network fee is lower than the daytime one. The calculator prices every 15 minutes of charging at the final price of that time and finds the cheapest continuous slot before the charging window ends.

Example: a Mustang Mach-E SR RWD (2023–2024) uses 7.6 kWh from the battery for a 40 km drive. With a 12% charging loss, charging takes 8.6 kWh from the meter. Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes 49 kWh from the meter, or four and a half hours at 11 kW.

Ford electric cars charge at 11 kW at home. Large vans (Tourneo Custom) use almost 50% more energy than cars for the same drive.

Battery and consumption data for the models come from EV Database.

What time is it cheapest to charge a Ford electric car at home?

It depends on the day, because the spot price changes every 15 minutes. The calculator shows today’s and tomorrow’s cheapest time from the published prices. At night the Võrk 2 and Võrk 4 network packages have a lower network fee.

How fast does the Mustang Mach-E charge at home?

The Mustang Mach-E charges at 11 kW from a 3×16 A wallbox. Charging the large-battery (ER) car from 20% to 80% takes 60 kWh from the meter, or almost five and a half hours.

Does the price include the network fee?

Yes. The price is the final price: spot price, seller’s margin, network fee, electricity excise, renewable energy fee and VAT. You can choose your own package and contract in “My settings”.
