Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to charge a ORA at home?

The spot price changes every 15 minutes and the night-time network fee is lower than the daytime one. The calculator prices every 15 minutes of charging at the final price of that time and finds the cheapest continuous slot before the charging window ends.

Example: an ORA Funky Cat 48 kWh uses 7 kWh from the battery for a 40 km drive. With a 12% charging loss, charging takes 7.8 kWh from the meter. Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes 31 kWh from the meter, or almost three hours at 11 kW.

The ORA Funky Cat and ORA 03 charge at 11 kW at home, also from a 22 kW wallbox.

Battery and consumption data for the models come from EV Database.

What time is it cheapest to charge an ORA electric car at home?

It depends on the day, because the spot price changes every 15 minutes. The calculator shows today’s and tomorrow’s cheapest time from the published prices. At night the Võrk 2 and Võrk 4 network packages have a lower network fee.

Are the ORA Funky Cat and the ORA 03 the same car?

Yes. ORA 03 is the new name of the Funky Cat, with the same battery and charger. Choose the model by the name on your car’s registration certificate.

Does my ORA charge at 11 kW or 22 kW?

All Funky Cat and ORA 03 variants charge at 11 kW at home. A 22 kW wallbox does not make it faster; the car still takes 11 kW.

Does the price include the network fee?

Yes. The price is the final price: spot price, seller’s margin, network fee, electricity excise, renewable energy fee and VAT. You can choose your own package and contract in “My settings”.
