Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to charge a Peugeot at home?

The spot price changes every 15 minutes and the night-time network fee is lower than the daytime one. The calculator prices every 15 minutes of charging at the final price of that time and finds the cheapest continuous slot before the charging window ends.

Example: an e-208 51 kWh uses 6.1 kWh from the battery for a 40 km drive. With a 12% charging loss, charging takes 6.9 kWh from the meter. Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes 32 kWh from the meter, or just over four hours at 7.4 kW and under three hours at 11 kW. 7.4 kW, though, needs a 32 A single-phase supply — from a regular 3×16 A wallbox a single-phase e-208 gets 3.7 kW and the same charge takes almost nine hours.

The e-208, e-2008, e-Rifter and e-Traveller charge from a single phase at 7.4 kW as standard, with three-phase 11 kW as an option. The e-3008 and e-5008 charge at 11 kW.

Battery and consumption data for the models come from EV Database.

What time is it cheapest to charge a Peugeot electric car at home?

It depends on the day, because the spot price changes every 15 minutes. The calculator shows today’s and tomorrow’s cheapest time from the published prices. At night the Võrk 2 and Võrk 4 network packages have a lower network fee.

Does my e-208 charge at 7.4 kW or 11 kW?

The standard charger on the e-208 and e-2008 is single-phase 7.4 kW; a three-phase 11 kW charger was an option. If you are not sure, choose the 7.4 kW variant — then the calculator does not allow more than the car can take.

Does the price include the network fee?

Yes. The price is the final price: spot price, seller’s margin, network fee, electricity excise, renewable energy fee and VAT. You can choose your own package and contract in “My settings”.
